Pathways to Education

Pathways to Education Kingston

Pathways to Education is a unique community-based program designed to increase high school graduation rates in designated neighbourhoods. The program focuses on helping high school youth through tutoring, mentoring, financial support, and advocacy. The Pathways to Education program has helped over 300 students in Kingston and is now available in 17 communities across Canada.

The Pathways to Education program offers:
• Academic tutoring sessions in all subjects
• Mentoring activities including field trips, campus tours, YMCA memberships, training and skill-building opportunities
• Financial incentives such as school lunch vouchers and No Frills grocery cards
• Post-secondary scholarships for $500 for each year enrolled in the program
  up to $2000 after four years
• Assistance with career exploration and planning post-secondary options for all students

Eligibility/ Enrollment

All high school students who live in the catchment area are eligible to register for the program. The boundaries of the catchment area are Conacher Drive south to Raglan Road and Division Street east to the Cataraqui River.
